SIMMOUNT NIKON F / ZEISS ZF/ZF.2 to LPL CONVERSION MOUNT

Vintage Nikon F-mount lenses were not designed for modern large-format cinema systems. This system converts them into one.

The Simmod SimMount Nikon F / Zeiss ZF / ZF.2 to LPL Conversion Mount is a precision-engineered mount replacement designed to convert compatible Nikon F-mount lenses into a native LPL interface, enabling use on LPL-mounted cinema cameras or via LPL adapters.

A True Mount Conversion

This is not an adapter placed between lens and camera.
This is a direct mount conversion system.

The SimMount installs onto the existing Nikon F mount structure, creating a rigid LPL interface without introducing additional tolerance from intermediary adapters. The result is a unified mechanical connection between lens and camera.

Compatibility

• Designed for:

  • Nikon F (AI / AIS) lenses

  • Zeiss ZF and ZF.2 lenses

• Compatible with:

  • LPL-mount cinema cameras

  • LPL adapters for mirrorless and other camera systems (simmod)

• Not compatible with older Nikkor H or S lenses (simmod)

Installation

The system installs in two stages:

• Remove factory screws from the original Nikon F mount

• Install base plate aligned to existing mount structure

• Attach LPL mount using supplied hardware

Heat may be required to release factory thread-lock on original screws. Mount orientation can be adjusted during installation.

The SimMount system enables Nikon F and Zeiss ZF/ZF.2 lenses to operate within the LPL ecosystem, allowing use across a range of modern cinema cameras designed around the LPL standard.

No electronic communication is supported.
This is a purely mechanical conversion system.
