The Simmod UV IR Cut Filter (82mm) is a multi-coated optical filter designed to block ultraviolet and infrared wavelengths while allowing visible-spectrum light to pass through with minimal color shift.

 

Filter Format

  • Rear thread size: 82mm
  • Front thread size: 82mm
  • Circular screw-in filter design

The front threading allows additional filters or accessories to be mounted when required.

 

Optical Function

The filter is designed to:

  • Block ultraviolet light below approximately 380nm
  • Block infrared wavelengths above approximately 700nm
  • Reduce infrared contamination on digital sensors
  • Minimize color shifting when using ND filters
  • Reduce unwanted blue cast in high-UV environments
